DAY TO DAY
DAY 1 - aRRIVAL TO ROME
We arrive in Rome during the day, and you take a taxi from the airport to the Airbnb. We relax and walk around the neighborhood to explore the area we’ll be staying in, buy some groceries, and then go to dinner.
DAY 2 - COLOSSEUM & FONTANA DI TREVI
Either today or tomorrow morning I want to take some photos in the Trevi Fountain during sunrise when it is emptier, you’re welcome to stay sleeping or to join me if you’d like!
Afterwards, we’ll explore the rest of Rome during the day and visit the Colloseum and other tourist spots.
DAY 3 - DRIVE FROM ROME TO TUSCANY
Raymond and I go pick up the rental car which the rest of the group packs up to check-out.
We drive to Tuscany and stop along the way to other medieval villages like Orvieto and/or Viterbo for lunch and to explore a bit.
We then arrive to Saturnia late at night to check-in our Airbnb.
DAY 4 - TUSCANY
We’ll visit a vineyard to do some wine tasting and then enjoy a hot spring in Saturnia before coming back and exploring other villages for the rest of the afternoon.
DAY 5 - DRIVE TO FLORENCE
We check out our Airbnb and drive to Florence and explore the city and do the touristy stuff, such as the Duomo Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Ponte Vecchio, the Galleria dell’Accademia to visit the David statue, the Battistero, and more.
DAY 6 - JANETH’S BDAY - VESPA CHIANTI WINE TASTING TOUR
It’s Janeth’s bday! 🎉
We’ll be taking a tour of the countryside to a lovely village called San Gimignano via Vespas! If you want to drive one, you need a valid driver’s license. It is pretty easy, so there is no need to worry about your safety, but if you’re not comfortable, you can sit in the back while one of the guides drives or someone else in the group, or come with me and Sofia on a Tuk Tuk.
We’ll visit a vineyard and go wine tasting in Chianti and have a nice lunch there.
DAY 7 - FLORENCE TO VENICE
We leave Florence to drive to Venice in the morning so we can stop along the way in Bologna to have lunch there at an incredible restaurant that Jan and I know of where the food is incredibly fresh as the menu changes every day depending on the produce available and at an insanely good price.
In Venice, we’ll explore the beautiful canals, have some great gelato before enjoying a gondola ride at sunset!
DAY 8 - VENICE - MURANO & BURANO
On this day, we will be island-hopping on two beautiful islands near Venice called Murano and Burano.
Murano is known for its expensive glass, which can only be created there, so we will visit a glass-blowing atelier to learn and see it in action!
DAY 9 - DRIVE FROM VENICE TO LAKE COMO
IT’S FELIPE’S BDAY 🥳!
On this day, we will enjoy some of what we have missed in Venice in the morning and then drive to Lake Como!
We’ll do whatever Felipe would like to do on his day, but we can rent a boat and have a picnic on a boat on the Lake Como, for example.
DAY 10 - LAKE COMO
In Lake Como, we’ll take a boat tour around the lake, where we’ll see some lovely villas like the one George Clooney spends his summers in. In the afternoon we’ll go to the beach and do some water sports like paddleboards, jetski, wakeboarding, etc.
DAY 11 - LAKE COMO TO NICE
We drive from Lake Como to Nice and maybe stop at Riomaggiore, Cinque Terre to see the colorful cliffside houses.
You can unpack at the Airbnb in Nice as you’ll be staying there for five nights, so get comfortable. At night we’ll go out and explore the city!
DAY 12 - NICE & EZE
There is a beautiful medieval village nearby called Eze, where we can explore for the day!
First, we’ll stop by the Fragonard Perfume Factory for a free tour and learn how perfumes and perfume products are made. Then, we’ll walk up to the town and visit a garden and some other cute sights. It is a super small village, so besides the garden, there is not much else to see, but the streets themselves are beautiful.
DAY 13 - GORGES DU VERDON
After an almost three-hour drive, we’ll arrive at Gorges du Verdon to enjoy some insane rafting or kayaking at one of France’s most beautiful canyons!
Afterward, we’ll explore more of Nice’s nightlife.
DAY 14 - Monaco & NICE
This is a chill day. You can either explore Nice during the day and come to Monaco in the afternoon or vice-versa.
Monaco is also a small place so there isn’t much to see but because of the Grand Prix the nightlife will be fun, so I suggest we party a bit here before you leave either today or tomorrow, or both!
DAY 15 - GRAND PRIX
The Formula 1 Grand Prix is today, and we all have our tickets ready! Feel free to bring your cameras, sunhats, binoculars, earplugs, or anything that may make this experience even better for you. As the day gets closer (and after I visit this year’s Grand Prix) I’ll send over some more tips on how to make the best of it.
We’ll enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, have fun in the crowd, and then have dinner and party at one of my favorite Asian restaurants that turns into a lounge after hours called Buddha Bar.
DAY 16 - DEPARTURE FROM NICE TO SAN JUAN
✈️ Today is the departure day!
You check out from the Airbnb and take a pre-booked taxi van to the airport. I’ll come to say goodbye to you at the Airbnb and bring some croissants so we can all have breakfast together.
Oh no! So sad that this has come to an end but it was a wild ride and I am so happy we got to share these incredible experiences together and create so many new, unforgettable memories that we’ll cherish forever!
